The London Churches Refugee Fund raises money to give small grants to organisations assisting destitute refugees and asylum-seekers.
Refugee Week is a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events and activities that celebrates the contribution of refugees to the UK and promotes better understanding of why people seek sanctuary. Their overall theme is "Different pasts, shared future". Anyone can take part by organising, attending or taking part in activities.
The dates for 2020 are 15-21 June. For more details see www.refugeeweek.org.uk. We have reflected this year's theme with a resource called simply "Imagine..." which you can view or download here.
Over the years we have produced various materials for Refugee Week and these are still relevant and available below, including the text of a short play illustrating the plight of refugees facing the Mediterranean crossing. All these materials are free for you to use or adapt but please consider making a donation or taking up a collection for our work. Thank you.
